Entry Acceptance Rules
Number of Bottles Required Per Entry: 2
Each entry will consist of TWO (2) 12-ounce capped bottles that are void of all identifying information, including labels and embossing. CANS AND SWING TOP BOTTLES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Printed caps are allowed, though discouraged, and if used, must be completely blacked out. Bottles must be free of labels or other easily identified marks. Re-used commercial bottles with embossed logos are allowed but discouraged. 12 oz brown glass bottles are preferred; however, green or clear glass bottles will be accepted.
Bottles will not be returned to entrants for any reason. Completed bottle/can labels must be submitted with all entries, and can be printed directly from the entry website along with any other required paperwork. Bottle labels should be placed in a clear zip type bag and attached to bottles with a rubber band only; glue and/or tape are unacceptable.
Failure to submit entries properly will exclude them from judging.

Please pay attention to the notes provided for each drop-off location. There could be earlier deadlines for some drop-off locations listed, particular hours when entries are accepted, certain individuals to leave your entries with, etc. All entrants are responsible for reading the information provided by the organizers for each drop-off location.

Packing and Shipping
Carefully pack your entries in a sturdy box. Line the inside of your carton with a plastic trash bag. Partition and pack each bottle with adequate packaging material. Please do not over pack!
Write clearly: Fragile. This Side Up. on the package. Please only use bubble wrap as your packing material.
Enclose each of your bottle labels in a small zip-top bag before attaching to their respective bottles. This way it makes it possible for the organizer to identify specifically which entry has broken if there is damage during shipment.
Every reasonable effort will be made to contact entrants whose bottles have broken to make arrangements for sending replacement bottles.

Best of Show
All 1st place entries from each category will advance to the Best of Show (BOS) round with a single, overall Best of Show beer selected. A custom display plaque will be presented to the BOS winner.
Awards
Prizes will be awarded in each of the main categories available at this competition. TRC reserves the right to collapse categories not receiving adequate entries and/or to not award all places if the entries do not merit it.

3rd Place - TRC Bronze medal
Over All Best of Show
All 1st place entries from each category will advance to the Best of Show (BOS) round with a single, overall Best of Show beer selected. A custom display plaque will be presented to the BOS winner.
There will be an awards ceremony for the competition at Denton County Brewing Company on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Winners will also be posted on the BCOE&M site by 7:00 p.m. (CST) on the day of the awards ceremony. It is our intent to livestream the awards ceremony on either Facebook or YouTube. Details will be posted as the ceremony date nears. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be issued for each beverage category as well as a single winner for the Best Of Show category.
